What is a Coach Point Trade?
A CP trade is an agreement between two owner where, as part of a trade, a prospect is placed in the minor league system of another team with a certain number of Coach Points placed on him, usually until the end of the season. At the end of the season, the player is traded back to the original team for nothing in return. Individual owners came up with this concept to simulate the trading of cash, which is not simulated in the game; although the trade remains only semi-official and not generally recommended, we do allow these trades to take place subject to the following rules.

Rules regarding Coach Point Trades
- CP trades are not allowed in Trial leagues.
- CP trades are allowed in Dynasty leagues; however, without a Commish to enforce them, they are buyer beware and should only be made with owners you know and trust. Admin will not force owners to abide by the terms of a CP trade; however, Admin will help return a CP-traded player to you if the trade was properly documented on the message board.
- CP trades are allowed in Subscription and Term leagues that have not specifically banned them. It is up to the Commish of these leagues to enforce the terms of the trades.
- CP trades may only be made for the currently active season except in Subscription and Term leagues that specifically allow a longer trade. Thus, late-season CP trades have much less value than early season CP trades.
- CP trades must be documented on the league's Message Board. CP trades that have not been documented may be reversed by Admin. Most leagues that actively use CP trades have a thread specifically for this purpose.
